Bridal Beauty Timelines Worth Booking Ahead

Candlelit bridal beauty preparation

Great wedding makeup is decided months before the wedding — in the skin prep, the trial and the schedule. Here is the timeline our studio gives every bridal client, season after season.

Six months out: the skin plan

Book a consultation and commit to a simple routine: gentle cleanse, vitamin C serum in the morning, moisturiser, and sunscreen every single day. This is the window for addressing texture, dullness or breakouts with a professional — never experiment in the final month.

Three months out: the trial

Arrive with reference photos, your outfit swatch and an honest account of how you normally wear makeup. We build two looks — ceremony-proof and reception-ready — and photograph both in daylight and flash. The trial is also when we match your exact foundation shade, so the bottle you buy is the shade you marry in.

Two weeks out: the calm-down

Final facial now, never later — skin needs ten to fourteen days to settle. Confirm timings with your artist, your photographer and your planner in one message so everyone works from the same schedule.

The morning of: the kit

Pack blotting papers, your lip colour, the setting mist and a small powder. With a 16-hour fixer like our Long Lasting Make Up Fixer sealing the base, touch-ups take ninety seconds between events — and photographs stay flawless from first look to last dance.

Bridal trials at the Marigold Muse studio open three months ahead each season and weekends book first. If your date is set, the best time to reserve was yesterday; the second-best time is today.
